How can detoxing your body help your skin?

a chemical free lifestyle can help your skin look its healthiest

Your skin is a reflection of your overall general health. Many factors can contribute to the condition and health of your skin. It can reveal your bad habits, such as smoking and excess sun exposure, even alcohol will dehydrate your skin and interfere with the body's circulation.

There are 80,000 synthetic chemicals currently registered by the EPA being used today in a variety of consumer goods. Only a handful of these potential environmental toxins have been tested adequately for safety. If you stop and think about all the possibilities of exposure to toxins it is a bit overwhelming.

These chemicals are being released into the ground world wide, getting into the soil where we grow our food and get our water. Chemical emissions are pumped into the air we breath everyday, increasing each year. Chemical fertilizers, pesticides and industrial waste collects in groundwater and reservoirs, this contaminated water is used to irrigate crops and feed our livestock. Our foods are packaged with preservatives, artificial colorings, sugars, and chemical additives. To top it off the skin care products we use are packed with potentially harmful chemicals.

Exposure to chemicals today is far greater in concentration than in previous generations. With the increase in chemical use over the last century it is no wonder there is an increase in degenerative diseases. Degenerative diseases that were once rare or nonexistent are now at epidemic levels. It is virtually impossible to avoid contact with all chemicals we encounter on a daily basis. When the body becomes overwhelmed with toxic debris, it has a hard time functioning properly, thus we start to show symptoms based on exposure leading to degenerative diseases.

So what can you do to keep your exposure to a minimum?

Step 1: Start buying organic fruits a veggies whenever possible.

Step 2: Eat foods that are fresh and not prepackaged.

Step 3: Drink plenty of water.

Step 4: Add herbs and supplements into your diet that can help your body pull toxins out.

Step 5: Exercise regularly.

Step 6: Use natural skin care products that are chemical free.

Performing a "fast" periodically will help your body pull out already accumulated toxins. If these steps are taken you will have a healthy body that is strong and resilient. Your skin will look beautiful because your body is healthy.

  1. Eating foods in their proper combinations will also help your system with its elimination process. By eating fruits through the morning and keeping your animal proteins separate will help your body digest foods much easier.
